The Basics

Merge tags enable you to insert dynamic content into your emails. For example, you might want to say hello to the customer:

Hello {{customer.first_name}}!

When emails are sent, the merge tags are replaced by real data:

Hello Jane!

Overview

Reservation emails are comprised of three data models that you can use with merge tags: reservation, customer and rooms.

Reservation

The following merge tags are available for the reservation data model:

Reservation Links

You can insert links into your emails that allow your customers to manage their reservation. The following link merge tags are available:

Rooms

Because a reservation may contain one or more rooms, to use room data with merge tags, you need to iterate over a list of the rooms the reservation contains. To iterate, you need the opening and closing {{each}} merge tags:

  {{/each}} {{! Closes Rooms}}

Because a reservation may contain one or more folios, to use folio data with merge tags, you need to iterate over a list of the folios the reservation contains. To iterate, you need the opening and closing {{each}} merge tags:
